The Coworking Thursdays initiative will take place at Galp’s new offices in Lisbon on May 2nd. Over 50 digital nomads and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to enjoy this innovative and unique space in the city.

On May 2nd, Galp will welcome the entrepreneurial and digital nomad community to its new offices in Lisbon, located by the Tagus River. More than 50 startup founders and remote workers will get to explore the company’s new headquarters. The building embodies Galp’s vision of energy transition: technological, collaborative, and sustainable. Situated in the redeveloped area of Alcântara, near LX Factory, the company’s new headquarters will host the Coworking Thursdays initiative, created by the 351 Portuguese Startup Association and supported by various digital communities.

The goal of this project is to bring entrepreneurs and remote workers closer to the city’s innovation ecosystem, fostering the exchange of experiences between participants and the Galp team.

This initiative, launched in 2020 after the first wave of the pandemic, aims to connect people involved in the entrepreneurial and tech ecosystem and facilitate interaction between those with physical workspaces and remote workers. It has held over 100 editions with 1,000 participants in diverse locations such as Startup Lisboa, Impact Hub, Microsoft, Critical Software, Santander, Ironhack, Le Wagon, Goethe Institute, Eureka Cowork, Smartex, and the Justice Hub/Ministry of Justice at the Justice Campus, among many others.

Remote workers and startup founders interested in participating in this edition of Coworking Thursdays at Galp should register through the project’s official website. The initiative is free, and participants can work from Galp’s offices (ALLO – Alcântara Lisbon Offices) on May 2nd, from 9 AM to 6 PM. Registration opens on Monday, April 29th, at 1 PM, and spots are limited to 50 participants.

About Coworking Thursdays

The initiative started after the first wave of the pandemic and aims to introduce Portugal’s tech spots to the entrepreneurial community while providing a connection environment for startup founders and remote workers. The project, which has hosted various events in Porto and Lisbon, is supported by communities like the 351 Portuguese Startup Association and has had over 1,000 participants across its numerous events.

About the 351 Portuguese Startup Association

Founded in 2019 as a grassroots movement, the 351 Portuguese Startup Association is now the largest and most active startup community in Portugal, with over 1,600 members. The 351 created the first truly open space where startups and ecosystem players can easily connect.
